How It Works

Four steps. The one that matters most happens before you pay: you see the finished portrait and decide whether it looks like them.

1. Upload a photo

Pick the clearest photo you have. Taken at their eye level, in daylight, with both ears inside the frame and their face filling a good part of it. No filters, no costumes, and the original file rather than a screenshot. A phone photo is plenty.

If the only photo you have is an imperfect one, try it anyway. The preview shows exactly what it can do before you spend anything.

2. Choose a style, material and size

Ten styles, from classical oil to a single continuous line. Some suit a distinctive profile, some suit strong markings, some suit a soft coat. Then choose framed canvas or a framed fine-art poster, a frame color, and a size from 30 × 40 cm up to 60 × 80 cm.

3. See it before you pay

The finished portrait appears on the page, made from your photo. Look at the markings, the ears, the eyes, the set of the face. If it isn't them yet, try again. You get up to five free tries, and a different photo often helps more than another try.

You only order a version that looks like them, and nothing is charged until you do.

4. Printed and shipped

Every order is checked before it goes to print. It is then printed to order, in or near the country it ships to, and arrives framed and ready to hang. Delivery typically takes 5 to 6 working days in total, and shipping is included in the price.

How the artwork is made

Your photo is turned into artwork by an image model. Nobody paints or draws it by hand, and we don't claim otherwise. What we do claim is that it is made from your photo, for them, and that you see exactly what you're ordering before you pay.

What if it doesn't look like them?

Then don't order that version. Try again, or try a different photo. If your portrait arrives damaged, or doesn't match the version you ordered, email support@solasframe.com within 30 days of delivery with your order number and photos, and we'll reprint it or refund you.
